Vindhya, one of the heart throbs of Kollywood film industry hails from Thirupathi, Andhra Pradesh. She was on her vacations after completing 12th standard during which she made a promising debut through Sangamam in the Tamil film industry. After that musical hit she is known for her dancing skills and expressive eyes. She did not make it big in cinema after that despite having worked in subsequent films. She has acted in around 35 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Her notable films include Thirunelveli, Magalirkaaga, En Purushan Kulanthai Mathiri, Viswanathan Ramamurthy, etc. She got married to Gopalakrishnan, who is actress Bhanupriya's younger brother.
