Until now, the student community and the OPT community felt that IVs goals were not in sync with them.
OPT is now being considered to be extended for 29 months. This is a big boost for students who want to pursue their American dream.
So, if you are a student or an OPT candidate, you are definitely benefitted by this move.

There are a lot of IV members whose labor is not approved yet (like me) or did not have their 140 filed as of May 15.
No. I don't think so you will have problem like us. Because you are stil eligible for 1 year extesion as labour is pending. For us we can't even apply for labour. and when we can i.e. on oct 2008 by that time we would have left less than 1 year so it is also not useful for us.

Even i got the Section: UNKNOWN thing from NSC. My 140 approved on MAY 2007, But online case status is still showing case pending, Is it because of this?

I don't use Actions unless I write them myself. Sometimes I don't feel like doing effects over and over so I write the action and use that.
Styles are great and you can come up with some really nice effects with them.... like in my phio miral wallpaper right eilsoe:)

Thank you for the post. It is really helpful. May I know if the new job should be >=50% different from the current job (EB3) offer? Or it doesn�t matter because of the MS requirement?

Below are the contents from that pdf document....does it means they will issue interim EAD after 90days??????.

USCIS is required to adjudicate a pending Form I-765 within 90 days from the date of receipt. 8 CFR 274a.13(d). Failure to complete the adjudication within this time frame requires the Service to grant an employment authorization document for a period not to exceed 240 days. I am sorry, but as far as I have known IV, IV has never exclusively or inclusively worked on student OPT/H1, but it is a coincidence that increase in student OPT might be a fallout of some of IV's actions. I dont see any point of asking students to join IV solely on this basis (OPT or H1 increase). Though, having graduated as a student in US, I totally agree to the point of asking students to join stating that GC is the final step in achieving their American Dream, where IV can make considerable impact.
I think the administrators should particulary keep a close watch on such posts related to OPT/H1 issues. These posts might be incorrectly interpreted and lead to deviatons from IV's cores agenda issues as well as division of resources. Unless, IV administrators are seriously thinking of changing their ideology and are willing to walk this path.
Nevertheless, I will keep on supporting IV with all my possible efforts. Cheers and Go IV!

I filed my AP renewal online, I used my discover to pay my dues.
I did not submit any paperwork, I got an RFE just for photographs.
Most important thing for AP-renewal according to my experience is photographs.

OK agreed , when it's a law we should abide by them.But what are the other options available for B? He can't be covered under 245(K) so this option is ruled out.He needs to forget about GC? Will it be helpful if he contacts good lawyer any hope? Or just rely on luck?

Sorry to say this but there are very few memebers on this forum without EAD. I think this website existed for a while but only came to life when dates became current in 2007. You can notice that most memebers here are with EAD when you see the number responses you get for EAD/AP related threads Vs H1B. Open an H1B thread and notice how quick that gets buried. But that will soon change, when most memebers with EAD get their green card they will hopefully be replaced by newer, non-EAD memebers and then we will have one united community(H1B, non-EAD,temporary workers). FYI, no EAD for me as well.

I recently got my 140 receipt notice with receipt date as 24-Jul-08.
I am wondering is my 140 is filed with in the valid time.
Is there any rule like do we need to file 140 with in 180 days of labour approval.If so will my 140 get approval or denial.

Today me and my wife got our CPO emails. Mine was filed in Eb3 and my wife's was in Eb2. I got my approved though my wife.
I've been in US for 10 years... now i've two things to do
1. Wonder was it really worth this wait.
2. Move to the citizen line.

I had sent an e-mail to my attorney...below is his reply...looks like i will get my renewed EAD before current EAD expires.

The local office will not issue an EAD. Rather, they will contact the Service Center which will typically issue the EAD within two weeks.
If you are working on EAD and if you do not get your new ead 10 days prior to the expiry of the old one please take an infopass and they will email the IO working on it to approve. Couple of my friends did that and got their approvals in a day or two.
