Dear Sir/Mam,
I am presently working in India. My wife is getting an L1 visa approval petition. We need to go to the US consulate for visa stamping.
My question is that 1) Do I need to resign from my current job to get a L2 visa stamping on my passport? 2) If not required, do I need to carry any form or letter from the company that I am on long leave/vacation to show it to the US consulate officier?
Please advice.

I am new to IV. I am just wondering whether we have ever emphasized on bifurcation of Immigration Bill or call for a interim law to facilitate legal immigrant's issues ( mainly retro victims) -
Our problems are very basic and do not have sociopolitical or economical strings attached to it (Probably works better for economy as lot of us are holding on to buy houses and other big budget stuff).
The main issue I have is
- Unable to change jobs
I can wait for GC but not being able to change jobs is hurting me most.
Employers do not find projects and do not pay on bench. Once you find a project Employer wants a big cut. All in the name of policy ;) .
Please share your thoughts.

This organization is keeping all options open and doing everything, but for some reason, there does not seem to be an easy rsolution to our issue. The group is working hard with support of members, other similar organizations, well wishers, members, some politicians, lobbyists, media etc..

Hello,
My employer will be filing for my greencard (labour certification) within the next 2-3 months. I have a valid H1 B visa expiring next year. I was wondering if it is legal to travel outside the country at this stage ?
Any advice would be appreciated.

You should be good to travel as long as u have a valid H1-b for ur return trip.

have your friend look or ask for where the nearest USCIS office is with a deferred inspection office. they can fix it there.

I have an old H1B visa with approval date December 19, 2000. I moved to US in Jan 2001 and spend only 2 months in USA in total. Stay outside USA from Mar 2001 until now.
Can I apply for the remaining time against my initial six-year period of admission and will be exempted from the cap?

"I would like to hear your professional opinion on the following issue: I have been on F-1 visa for 7 consecutive years. I have an employer that has sponsored me as a Graphic Designer. In fact I have obtained the I-140 through him already. I recently applied for employment AOS (July 25th) with my wife (She is on F2 visa) and I'm currently waiting on the Notice Receipt. School starts on August 20th and I'm hesitant on when exactly the new Immigrant Status starts. Do I still need to enroll for classes in order to maintain my visa? I don't intend to finish school due to financial difficulties, when exactly may I drop out from school? Should I remain enrolled up until I receive the EAD and AP? The person being sponsored does not need to sign the I-864A as a household member, unless you have family immigrating with you. The whole reason for using an 864A is to show that a "household member" agrees to be a joint sponsor. By definition, a household member must live in the same house, i.e. have the same address.
Provide whatever documents you have to show that you have the same address, but considering having a lawyer help you, since this is a bit of a mess.
