Once you switch jobs using AC 21, you are no longer on H1-B (even though you still have H1-b date that has not expired).
Your next H1-B will be considered a new H1-B and not a transfer.
You will be able to use remaining H1-B time. There is no difference whether the employer revokes or not revoke your H1 as you are no longer on H1-B.

Gradually it has to come to 2007 for sure
because
1)It came till OCT 2006 in 2007 as well as in 2008 , There would be really few members who would have missed the two boats under EB2
but there will be EB3 -> EB2 conversions not sure how many , Hard to estimate
2)The applications to USCIS are gradually decreasing and the trend probably will continue in 2010, Hence lesser revenues for USCIS
so if PD is stable in coming months or even if it has slow and steady increment, I believe 2007 will be current again in coming 3 quarters, if it doesnt happen in oct bulletin

yes, employer just needs to show that new job is similar to your old job. Its just simply a letter which an employer can(may choose not to as its not mandatory by law but advised to do so) send to USCIS.
For EB2 classification you dont need to do anything, your emplyer need to show that job needs Masters or equivalent and it meets prevailing market salary requirements. So you can just ask them if this position meets EB2 requirements and if they will be wiling to do EB2 filing for you in addition to AC21 (or H1 transer)

We sent our I 485 on July 4th.......got receipt of it yesterday. My husband is on H1 and I am on F1. Husband's receipt says "Adjustment as direct beneficiary of immigrant petetion" and mine says " Derivative adjustments"........

Don't expect to see any real improvement throughout the Pres. Bush Administration. Remember politicians do shows. Even the current SKIL bill seems to be way unilateral and that would not be welcome by American voters either. I think until lawmakers truly stop listening to lobbysts and bring a true balanced bill to the table, we will see lots of "shows", but no real result.
It may happen someday, but I don't count on it necessarily in 2007.

If you have enough time or not depends on if your country of origin is retrogressed. In your case retrogression will help you.
You do not need to be working for the new employer for them to start the green card process. So no need to wait for H1B transfer. But most employers would not do that.
To get one year extensions, Your case has to be pending for at least a year. That clock starts when you apply for labor. With PERM there is two months of recruiting (one month recruiting and one month cool down) before you can apply for labor. So it looks like you will not meet this deadline. (You may be able to extend your current H1B for the time you were out of the country)
So your only hope is that your labor certification goes through and your I140 goes through and your country is retrogressed. Then the one year rule does not apply and you can extend H1B for three years.
So pray that congress does not fix the retrogression problem until you get your three year extension :)
You are wrong - he dont have to pray that retrogession to stay. If there is no retrogession he/she can apply for 485 along with I140 or if that option is not available he/she can apply for 485 after I140 approval; and can get EAD which makes him eligible to work pending 485 approval.

In my company I have applied PERM along with another person (who is less experienced than me; much less education qualifications; and probably less salary as I am his technical lead). Both our PERM labors approved in the space of 10 days. Currently my EB2 I140 is pending; his concurrent I140 is approved and got EAD's for him and wife and is infact might get his cards soon unless they get stuck in name-check.
Moral of story: retrogession is bad anyway you cut it. In any case the probability of a bill passing seems not that bright; and even if a bill is passed it may not be impleted that soon anyway; so this retrogession story might continue for a while I guess; and we all can continue to get 1year/3year extensions :)

I Have my EAD card but my spouse was in India when i applied for EAD. That mean she doesn't have EAD card rite now.

Unless you submitted I-485 for her she cannot apply for EAD. If you did submit I-485, yes you can apply EAD for her now by submitting form I-765.

Let's assume Two people A and B entered into US on Jan 1st 2004 with Visa stamping Valid till June 2006.
A is without payslips for 2 years , that is until Dec 2005(730 days).A travels out side US and re enters into US in jan 2006 , after that he'll get the payslips and stays legal , then applies for his 485 in March 2006.Then he is maintaining
100% legal status as he is having continious payslips after his re entry.
B doesn't have payslips for period of 185 days(aggregate) in his whole stay in US , rest of the time he maintains legal status , but he never travels outside US and applies for his 485 in March 2006.
In this case B is under risk of illegal status for more than 180 days , as he never travelled outside US.How come this is fair law??This thought bugging me since coupe of days.Guys please share your ideas.

The pay need not be exactly same. You can make more. There is no guide line. For example if you made 60K and now you have a job where you make 300K, then it would be hard to say it is the same kind of job.
Employees get yearly pay increase, or when they move they may make more. You need not have to say no if you get a pay increase. :)

Congratulations on you new job. Like others have suggested - make sure you do a good job of sending our AC21 docs - now that you know that your employer is going to revoke I140. Also be ready for any RFE / NOID and prepare your documentation before hand.
